Mason Off Road Signs 2-Year Deal with Yokohama Tire Corporation

January 16, 2024

After a successful first season together in 2023, Dave Mason Jr. and Yokohama Tires have reached an agreement to continue and extend their relationship into 2025 and likely beyond.

"Last year Yokohama gave us an opportunity. I started racing with Jamie Campbell in his RaceCo Factory Honda Talon, as he has been on their tires for several years. He introduced me to the Yokohama Marketing Team, and the rest is history" said Dave Mason Jr. "Everyone has been awesome to deal with. They told me they would be interested in supporting all of my racing classes. From the Pro-2 to the Class 1 in Desert Racing they wanted to be onboard."

In 2023 Mason would finish 3rd in the Crandon Brush Run Cup Race in his Pro-2, 3rd at the Bark River National in Pro Stock SxS, and Win Round 11 at the Crandon World Championships in the Honda Talon. All on Yokohama Tires. After that, he went on to Win the NORRA 500 race Overall and in Evolution Unlimited Buggy in Baja, Mexico. That racecar uses the Geolandar 40" Racing Tire. They finished the race without any flats, which was key to the victory.

"I really appreciate the support last year, and I am proud to become a formal member of Team Yokohama moving forward. They make a line of products that I believe in, and I am eager to prove the toughness of their tires in the biggest races in our sport." said Mason Jr.

Mason has a busy schedule planned this year, with a lot of variety. He plans to race King of the Hammers in their Desert Class 1 Car, then move on to the entire 8-weekend Championship Off Road Series in both Pro Stock SxS and Pro Buggy. The last two of those weekends he will bring out his Pro-2 Truck to fight for wins. In between, he will race the NORRA Mexican 1000, the SCORE Baja 500, NORRA 500, and SCORE Baja 1000. This is a total of 5 racecars and 44 individual races. As you can see, that will require a massive amount of high-quality tires, which Yokohama will provide.

"Yokohama is making a big investment in my team. I plan to do my best to represent well for them, and bring them success in every way I can. I want to win as many races as possible, and also maintain a good image off the track. As a team, we want to have a professional image, and gain respect while building our fanbase. Thank you so much to Yokohama for choosing Mason Off Road!"
