San Bernardino, CA – After months of waiting and preparing for racing's return, it finally happened. Mason Off Road and their driver Dave Mason Jr. debuted the eBay Motors Prolite for the Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Race held at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA. The team entered the event primarily to gain track time in preparation for the National Lucas Oil Off Road Series, which is scheduled to kick off in late July.
Dave Jr. missed all of the practice sessions due to returning from participation in the Best in the Desert Series Silver State 300 race with Stronghold Motorsports. Coming in from Nevada he made it just in time to jump in the truck for qualifying. During qualifying the setup was noticeably off in the first few laps. Coming off the front stretch jump the truck's suspension compressed and sent the eBay Motors Prolite tumbling side over side and end over end. Dave Jr. emerged from the spectacular crash unharmed, but the race truck had heavy damage. With a very damaged race truck and limited time, the Mason Off Road Crew immediately went to work to make repairs.

Mason Off Road was able to salvage the truck and enter the main event. Dave Jr. was inverted to the outside pole for the start of the race. He had to mentally and physically shake off the crash and focus on doing the best he could with the wounded truck. Dave Jr. battled hard against some tough competition with no front or rear bumper and the trucks handling still not right. In the end, despite all the challenges of the event, Dave Mason Jr. placed the eBay Motors Prolite on the podium in 2nd place.

"Nothing really went as planned, but that's often the way racing goes. This was a really tough event and that was one of the biggest wrecks I've ever experienced," said Dave Mason Jr. "I can't thank our team enough. Everyone just focused and went to work on getting back on track. This was truly a team effort to reach the podium."
"We learned a lot and we will get this truck back to the shop and see what all we need to do before the Reno national event," added Mason Jr. "I certainly will be spending a lot of time on eBay Motors this week getting some new parts ordered up!"
